Orlando Pirates have bolstered their defensive options with the signing of Milford FC right-back Bulelani Sigomoshe.
The Buccaneers announced the arrival of Sigomoshe on Friday afternoon, beefing up their squad for the current 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.
Pirates have been searching for a right-back in the current transfer window after parting ways with five players in the same position. The Sea Robbers cut ties with Deano Van Rooyen, Thabiso Lebitso, Bandile Shandu, Siyabonga Ndlozi, and sent Tshepho Mashiloane on loan to Sekhukhune United
After the mass exodus at right-back, Kamogelo Sebelebele was the only recognisable right wing-back for head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
A few weeks ago, Ouaddou publicly admitted that his charges are looking to bolster the right-back position as Sebelebele can’t take on the demands of all domestic competitions and the CAF Champions League.
ORLANDO PIRATES UNVEIL BULELANI SIGOMOSHE
With the PSL transfer window closing on Monday, 22 September 2026, Orlando Pirates have moved swiftly to sign Bulelani Sigomoshe from the KZN-based outfit, Milford FC.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Bulelani Sigomoshe from Milford Football Club,” Pirates said on their social media platforms on Friday.
“The 26-year-old right-back joins the Buccaneers with immediate effect, adding further depth and competition to the Club’s defensive options.
“Sigomoshe’s acquisition forms part of the club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the playing squad as the Buccaneers continue to pursue their objectives across all competitions.
“The defender will link up with the technical team and his new teammates immediately as he begins the next chapter of his career in the famous black and white. Orlando Pirates welcomes Bulelani to the Buccaneers family and wishes him every success at the club,” added the club in a statement.
