Former Chippa United and Richards Bay FC striker Somila Ntsundwana has found a new home in the ABC Motsepe League after spending a few months unattached.

Ntsundwana parted ways with Chippa at the end of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season after struggling to make a meaningful contribution at the Eastern Cape-based side.

The bulky forward spent one season with the Chilli Boys, although he couldn’t make his mark due to the inconsistency in the coaching department, amongst other things.

At Chippa, Ntsundwana featured in 15 appearances across all competitions and scored only two goals. His contribution proved not enough for United as the club allowed him to walk away as a free agent.

Before his spell with Chippa United, the 29-year-old was in the colours of Richards Bay, where he managed to establish himself as one of the key players.

Ntsundwana had a five-season spell with Richards after arriving at the club back in 2021 from AmaZulu FC. He scored nine goals and chipped in five goals before his exit in 2025.

With the talisman looking for a fresh start, he has settled for a move to Old Grey FC in the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League.

Old Grey officially announced the arrival of Somila Ntsundwana, who will be aiming to use the adventure in the third division to bounce back to the professional ranks.

Ntsundwana will bring vast experience to Old Grey and push for a promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship in the next campaign.

The talented attacker is a thorn in defenders with his pace, strength and the ability to score and create goals for his teammates.
