FC Platinum have confirmed the departure of former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana legend Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane as assistant coach and announced former Zimbabwe international Onismor Bhasera as his replacement.
Letsholonyane joined FC Platinum along with Thabo Senong at the end of July. In addition, the retired midfielder remained a key target for several clubs in Botswana. Letsholonyane previously carved out a niche at Matebele FC during the 2025/26 season. He now returns to Botswana to a club yet to be revealed.
At FC Platinum, he is replaced by Bhasera, a former Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United defender. Bhasera was last on Siwelele FC’s books as assistant coach but was let go at the start of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.
In a club statement released on Wednesday, FC Platinum general manager Collen Nikisi confirmed that Letsholonyane has left the club to take up a head coaching position in Botswana.

The club also announced Bhasera’s arrival as Letsholonyane’s replacement. Bhasera is expected to bring a wealth of experience from a distinguished playing and coaching career, having served in Siwelele FC’s technical team.
“His experience, leadership and understanding of the game will add valuable depth to our technical team as we continue to strengthen the Club and build for the future,” FC Platinum said.
“Working alongside Head Coach Thabo Senong, Bhasera will be part of a technical team focused on developing our players, strengthening the squad and ensuring that FC Platinum remains competitive at the highest level.”
Additionally, the club said the appointment is part of its continued commitment to building a strong foundation while maintaining its ambition to compete for honours.
FC Platinum thanked Letsholonyane for his contribution during his time at the club. “We thank Yeye for his contribution, professionalism and commitment during his time with FC Platinum and wish him every success in his new role,” the club added.
