The Premier Soccer League [PSL] has announced the venue for the highly anticipated 2026/27 MTN8 Final, where Orlando Pirates will clash with Mamelodi Sundowns.
The venue reveal was made live on SuperSport PSL’s popular football show, Extra Time, on Monday evening, 28 September 2026.
Along with the venue announcement, the league conducted the formal administrative draw to determine hosting logistics for the final day.
The Buccaneers were drawn as the designated home side, while Bafana Ba Style will be the away team, who have made it to the finals for the first time in three seasons.

The final brings together two South African football heavyweights—reigning Betway Premiership champions Pirates and reigning African champions Sundowns—in a blockbuster showdown for early-season silverware.
Defending MTN8 champions Pirates comfortably booked their spot in the final following a 4-0 aggregate victory over Sekhukhune United FC in the tournament’s semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Masandawana secured their place via the away goals rule after a thrilling 3-3 aggregate draw against Golden Arrows across two legs.
The high-stakes ‘Wafa Wafa’ finale between the Buccaneers and the Brazilians is scheduled for Saturday, 10 October 2026.
MOSES MABHIDA STADIUM SET TO HOST MTN8 FINALE
The Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban will host this year’s MTN8 final. The PSL confirmed that the official kick-off time will be at 18:00.
The 56,000-capacity stadium is expected to be sold out, matching the atmosphere of last year’s final.
The Sea Robbers are aiming to secure an unprecedented fifth consecutive MTN8 title. This follows the Soweto giants reaching their fifth successive final in the competition.
The PSL revealed that tickets will go on sale from 2 October at 10:00 in the morning. Tickets will be sold online.
