Former SA junior international Lebo Moloto continues to make a mark in his coaching career in the USA, two years after he officially retired from playing.
Moloto has enjoyed a successful professional career abroad, featuring for clubs such as Des Moines Menace, Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Swope Park Rangers, and Nashville SC before joining FC Tulsa in 2020.
A former Under-17 international, Moloto was a key member of the South African squad that reached the final of the 2007 COSAFA Youth Championship.
He officially retired in 2024 while in the books of USL Championship side FC Tulsa to transition into coaching. The 36-year-old was immediately appointed coach at the Tulsa SC Girls Junior Academy and hit the ground running, scooping a Coach of the Month award at the club.

The Tulsa Futbol Society took to their official Instagram platform on Tuesday to confirm the appointment of Moloto as the new Director of Field Player Development. The Society provides specialised football training for infield players and goalkeepers in the area of Tulsa.
“Tulsa Futbol Society is proud to announce Lebo Moloto as Director of Field Player Development,” they announced.

The Tulsa Futbol Society has also explained the role Moloto will play at the establishment founded by Austin Wormell, who played in the USL Championship.
“The most respected trainer in Tulsa, Lebo brings 11 years of professional playing experience, elite-level training, and a passion for developing the next generation,” the club stated.
“Lebo will lead and oversee our field player development program, implement his training philosophy, and work directly with our players on the field. A huge addition to Tulsa Futbol Society. The next chapter starts now.”
