Orlando Pirates have appointed Vincent ‘Pep’ Rammoni as head coach of their ABC Motsepe League side following his short stint with Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Gomora United.
Rammoni has bagged the coaching gig in the Pirates’ ABC Motsepe League side, previously known as Pele Pele, for the 2026/27 season. The young coach is taking over the job to replace Joseph Makhanya, who parted ways with the club at the end of last season.
Rammoni is arriving at the Buccaneers after serving as an assistant coach to Patrick Phungwayo at Gomora United in the second division.
The Alexandra-born coach spent a few months with Gomora, having signed with the club in the off-season to help the club in their chase for promotion.
After two months at United, Rammoni has been entrusted with leading Pirates feeder team in the ABC Motsepe League.
VINCENT RAMMONI COMPLETE MOVE FROM GOMORA UNITED TO PIRATES

Rammoni has had several spells with clubs in the third division, including a stint with Dondol Stars where the club had a dream run in the 2023 Nedbank Cup.
In the 2022/23 season, Rammoni, alongside his co-coach Khuliso Rashamuse, guided Dondol Stars to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after beating big clubs such as AmaZulu FC and the now-defunct SuperSport United.
The dream run ended in the last eight of the competition after pushing Pirates to the penalties, where they lost 5-4.
Rammoni has built a name for himself by playing enterprising, possession-based football with all his previous clubs. The former Phezulu United coach also assembled a team called Pep XI that participated in several township tournaments. The club had notable names such as Pirates midfielder Matome Mmolai and Milford FC playmaker Thabang Mabena before signing professional contracts.
