Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel has explained his reaction after seeing his teammates Reeve Frosler and Renaldo Leaner involved in a heated exchange following their defeat to Red Arrows FC.
Amakhosi lost 1-0 to Arrows in Ndola in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup tie last weekend.
A video of Frosler and Leaner exchanging words has been circulating, showing Bruce Bvuma and Rushwin Dortley stepping in to calm the situation.
While the incident drew mixed reactions about the mood within the Chiefs camp, Miguel believes it showed how much the result meant to the players. It came at a time when the Soweto giants had gone four games without a win.
Ahead of the reverse fixture, whose result will determine Chiefsโ fate in the CAF interclub competition, Miguel has opened up about how the altercation made him feel. Chiefs must now regroup and try get a result to secure a group stage spot.
MIGUEL CALLS FOR MORE AGGRESSION AT CHIEFS

โI saw the incident, and everybody saw it. Personally, Iโm happy with these kinds of behaviours. We felt the loss,โ said Miguel while addressing the media in Durban on Thursday.
โNot only our supporters, but we also suffer; we also get disappointed and frustrated with the results. Unfortunately, it is something that happened on the field. There is nothing bad about the team; it is just a difference of opinions.โ
The Angolan centre-back dismissed suggestions that the confrontation signalled problems within the squad, insisting that disagreements between teammates should not be mistaken for dressing-room unrest.
โWith the images and footage, people think the exchange was a mess, but it was just a difference of opinions. It is not a problem,โ Miguel added.
The defender went further, suggesting that Chiefs need more of the passion shown by the pair as they seek to turn their results around.
โFor me, I see the solution in that kind of behaviour, that passion that we have. Sometimes it is lacking, and I feel that we need more of it. We need more aggression; we need to be more passionate about results. Especially when losing a game like this, it is never good. I was happy about that incident, just to tell you that.
โThe gents are frustrated, and we have a chance on Friday to change that.โ
Chiefs welcome Red Arrows to Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday, aiming to overturn the deficit after Alassane Diarra scored the only goal in the first leg. Amakhosi are winless in four matches and will need a two-goal victory to secure their place in the Confederation Cup group stage.
