Kaizer Chiefs set to host Siwelele at Polokwane as PSL confirm kickoff times and venues for CKO

Kaizer Chiefs in a derby match

Kaizer Chiefs are set to host Siwelele FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final after the Premier Soccer League [PSL] announced the official kick-off times and venues for the highly anticipated matchups.

Amakhosi booked their spot in the quarter-final of the Carling Cup with a convincing 3–0 victory over TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium last Tuesday.

Chiefs eliminated Galaxy with a hat-trick from Wandile Duba, moving the Soweto giants a step closer to winning a trophy in the 2026/27 season. The Glamour Boys have already missed out on the MTN8 title after being eliminated in the first round by Golden Arrows earlier in the campaign.

They are gunning for silverware under the guidance of head coach Fernando Da Cruz after finishing the previous campaign without winning a single trophy.

In a bid to win the Beer Cup, Chiefs face Siwelele in the last eight of the competition, a side they already defeated in the league 3-2 at Dobsonville Stadium in September.

The PSL confirmed that Chiefs will face the Bloemfontein-based side at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane instead of their usual home venue, FNB Stadium in Soweto.

The CKO encounter will give Chiefs an ideal opportunity to bounce back after suffering a 2–1 defeat against Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership this past Saturday.

Chiefs fell to the Buccaneers, who found the back of the net thanks to goals from Bafana Bafana attackers Yanela Mbuthuma and Tshepang Moremi.

Meanwhile, rivals Orlando Pirates will clash with Sekhukhune United at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday, with kick-off also scheduled for 15:00 CAT.

The other encounter on Sunday will see Stellenbosch FC tussle with AmaZulu FC at Danie Craven Stadium for a spot in the semi-final of the Carling Cup. The match between Usuthu and Stellies will kick off at 18:00 CAT.

On the other hand, Mamelodi Sundowns are playing their Carling Knockout Cup match against Golden Arrows tonight at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, as they’re participating in continental duty over the weekend with a CAF Super Cup final against USM Alger at home.
