AmaZulu’s Msindisi Ndlovu hails Ayanda Dlamini’s impact on his career

AmaZulu midfielder Msindisi Ndlovu has hailed the impact of Ayanda Dlamini on his career.

The 21-year-old shared some of the advice he received from Dlamini, now an assistant coach in the senior team.

The relationship between the two dates to Ndlovu’s days on the development side, which Dlamini coached.

NDLOVU IS A PROMISING ATTACKER

He is considered one of the most promising attacking midfielders at AmaZulu after his promotion from the Diski Challenge team. Many will remember Ndlovu for helping Usuthu’s development side to their first-ever trophy in 2020. 

“Coach Ayanda has helped me a lot, understands me as a player, and has made me a better player. He does not mind dribbling if I attack,” Ndlovu told the media.

“He always tells me to not play for the crowd only. But also to remember the team, be effective and create goals.” 

The attacker was brought back at the beginning of the season after spending the 2021/22 term on loan with Uthongathi. He believes the second tier stint helped him understand the seriousness of the game.

“Being loaned out helped me to understand the big stage. The MDC is different from DStv Premiership and NFD. It’s tough there, and you must be mentally strong. You must grab every opportunity with gratitude.” 

THE HEARTBREAK

Last weekend, the youngster missed the opportunity to win his first-ever trophy with the AmaZulu senior side. He expressed heartbreak and vows to fight to win the Carling Black Label cup on Saturday.

“I am heartbroken. We needed this cup, but we plan, and God decides. We wanted to win this for our supporters. Now we want this Carling Black Label cup for the fans to heal their pain.”

“We are known at FNB Stadium, where AmaZulu won the MDC Rewired Cup against Kaizer Chiefs. I have never lost in that venue, and we want to keep that record.”
