Sekhukhune’s Badra Ali Sangare credits teamwork for the recent form turnaround
Sekhukhune United goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangare believes the sudden change of form is due to the teamwork displayed by the team.
Sekhukhune have now gone five matches without a loss, with three straight wins and two draws. This includes two clean sheets in that period in their DStv Premiership matches.
The Ivory Coast international goalkeeper, Sangare says there can never be two clean sheets without the support of the whole team.
The 36-year-old has featured seven times since joining from JDR Stars at the beginning of the season.
SANGARE LAUDS TEAMWORK
“I am so happy with our performances right now. The last two games we did very well and we got two clean sheets,” he told the club’s media department.
“The goalkeeper can’t have two clean sheets alone, there is support from the team. I think we are in a good moment and we need to be able to come up for the Swallows game and do well.
“It’s a home game and we need to collect maximum points. The three points will be better for us,” he said.
TOUGH BATTLE AGAINST SWALLOWS
Sekhukhune are set to take on Swallows at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday evening. The club’s current coach Brandon Truter used to work with them.
Head coach Truter has revealed how he has been working on the mentality of the players to keep the consistency when getting positive results.
“It’s always a challenge with Sekhukhune. They got the draw against Sundowns in the previous results and they lost the next two. They beat Pirates and lost the next two and now we beat Chiefs.
“So the mentality had to change and it is good that we worked on it extensively. These are meditations, the relaxation, there are mental preparations that go into it and I thank the boys for responding to the new methods.”
