Another blow for cash-strapped TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy have been in the news lately over the non-payment of salaries, and the cash-strapped DStv Premiership club has suffered another triple blow.

The Tim Sukazi-owned club has not paid salaries for players and staff for the last two months.

While the club has previously denied it, a leaked audio of a crisis meeting held last week was made available to FARPost.

In that audio, several players made their unhappiness known to the club’s management via the coach and team manager, Njabulo Sukazi.

FARPost can further confirm that the club has yet to pay the players despite expressing that efforts were made to pay half of the salaries last week.

“They’re yet to pay us, and we’ve not heard from management. It’s a difficult situation, but the season is almost over, and everyone is trying hard to ensure we finish strong.

THE FRESH BLOW FOR TS GALAXY

However, the Rockets’ push to finish strong has been dealt a heavy blow ahead of their Nedbank Cup Last 16 tie on Sunday, 12 March 2023.

They welcome Stellenbosch FC at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit in a match they would like to win and progress to the quarterfinal.

However, Sead Ramovic must do without three key players for that tie.

Ramovic must plan without Bafana Bafana star Bathusi Jurry Aubaas, Junior Traore and Marks Munyai for the Stellies tie.

The trio, as confirmed by the PSL, is out serving suspension. 24-year-old Ivorian forward Traore has featured in 14 games this season and has scored six goals. He is yet to play a game in the Nedbank Cup.

Aubaas, a rising Bafana defensive midfielder, has played 18 DStv Premiership matches and provided one assist.

The club’s right-back, Marks Munyai, has made 14 appearances this season.
