Bhasera pinpoints SuperSport’s problem they need to fix

SuperSport United captain Onismor Bhasera has pinpointed the major problem they need to fix for positive results to start coming their way.

The talented fullback believes that good results will come if they start taking their chances and converting them to goals.

In all the matches they have played so far, Matsatsantsa created many good scoring opportunities. However, finding the back of the net is an issue.

The lack of good results saw the team in the bottom half of the DStv Premiership table. They lay 14th with five points from five.

“It’s not how we wanted it to be. We have played five games in the league. Are there any positives? Yes, there is in every match. We’ve been creating chances. If we take those chances and turn them into goals, you talking a different language here,” Bhasera told FARPost.

“It’s because of results not coming our way, but we managed to get a clean sheet against Pirates and Bay. We managed to score and get our first three points.”

“We are looking forward to taking it where we left off against Richards Bay and Sundowns, see if we can get our second three points. We have to make sure this time we try to take our chances and try to convert one or two.”

Ahead of the Tshwane derby headlining the DStv Premiership matches into the weekend, the former Kaizer Chiefs defender expects a tricky tie.

“It is a derby, and you know what happens in derbies. Anything can happen. It’s about a team wanting it more on the day. We will go prepared like we did the other day and take the game to them. We’ll do as per our plan from the coach,” Bhasera added.

The last time the two sides met in the MTN8 quarter-final last week, it was a tight contest. Sundowns won two nil, netting both goals in the last 10 minutes of the match.

Kickoff at Lucas Moripe Stadium is at 7.30pm.
