Brandon Truter pinpoints Cape Town City’s strengths

Coach Brandon Truter has pinpointed key Cape Town City’s strengths in warning his Sekhukhune United troops ahead of the DStv Premiership clash.

Babina Noko will welcome the Citizens at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, 25 February 2023.

The kick-off for the match is scheduled for 17:30.

Truter does not expect City to be complacent in their Saturday’s encounter despite the mixed recent form of the Cape club.

BRANDON TRUTER REVEALS CAPE TOWN CITY’S STRENGTHS

“Very difficult game, very difficult opponents in Cape Town City. They have the talents and quality to hurt any team in the league,” Truter told Sekhukhune’s media department.

“They got good build-up patterns and very comfortable with possessions as well.

“So, they are very good in attack also. It is a team that we must be cautious against.”

The former AmaZulu and Swallows mentor noted that they will use their home ground advantage to sink the visitors.

“It is our home game and so far we haven’t been beaten at home and we would like to keep the record like that,” he added.

TOUGH ENCOUNTER FOR BRANDON TRUTER

However, Truter divulged that facing Eric Tinkler’s charges won’t be a walk in the park, as they have won their previous game.

“They won their last game, so they are very confident and they want to   turn things up especially going into the last 10 games of the season,” explained Truter.

“But, for us is about us keeping our home form intact and it is also about three points on offer.

“Of course, we are looking forward to the game and always confident of getting the three points.”

As things stand, Sekhukhune find themselves in position six with 27 points after 20 games.

Whereas City are placed eighth on the log standings with 26 points from the same number of games played by their counterparts.
