Chiefs defence must tighten up, says Njabulo Ngcobo
Kaizer Chiefs are amongst the teams that have conceded fewer goals this season, but defender Njabulo Ngcobo says they need to show more mettle at the back.
The Soweto giants have conceded the second-fewest goals with 19 in 24 matches in the league.
Ngcobo believes Chiefs need to find a method of keeping a clean sheet when they face Golden Arrows in a DStv Premiership match at Princess Magogo Stadium this afternoon (15:00).
“I think we just need to fix a few things, especially at the back,” said Ngcobo.
“Our strikers are always desperate to score. Therefore we will get to the levels we want.”
The encounter against Arrows affords Amakhosi with the opportunity to close the gap on second-placed Royal AM to three points with a game in hand.
And Ngcobo added that they just need to tighten up the defence and reduce the mistake to give themselves a good chance of walking away with all the three points.
