In the eighth minute of the game, Sifiso Hlanti broke the deadlock and put the Glamour Boys in front.
As the first period progressed, the complexion of the game changed, with both sides testing each other’s goals.
The encounter calmed down a bit as the first half drew on, although the Arrows were still finding it difficult to settle into a rhythm and prolonged ball possession due to the relentless way the Soweto giants were denying them time and space on the ball.
GOLDEN ARROWS FIND AN EQUALISER
But the unfazed KwaZulu-Natal side found an equaliser right on the stroke of the half-time break with a goal from Ntsako Makhubela.
The half-time break whistle blew, with the scoreline still 1-all from the two teams.

In the second stanza, Amakhosi came out guns blazing as they added to the scoreline in the 47th minute through Mduduzi Tshabalala.

After Chiefs’ second goal, Arrows struggled to threaten the home side goalkeeper.
The Glamour Boys had a couple of chances in the second half to bury the game but failed to capitalise on their clear-cut opportunities.
Whereas Arrows’ technical team threw on all the weapons, he had on the bench as they desperately chased the game with the hope of bouncing back stronger.
Arrows’ plan totally worked in their favour as Knox Mutizwa levelled the matters in the 69th minute.
The visitors held on to defend well in order to walk away with at least a point away from home.
