Pitso Mosimane tells Sead Ramović where to get off
"Coach Ramovic, please sit down."
Al Ahli Saudi head coach Pitso Mosimane has hit back to Sead Ramović’s response regarding his views on Sibusiso Vilakazi’s unpleasant departure at the Rockets.
Over the weekend, the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns mentor, Mosimane, had surprisingly came out in defence of his former player Vilakazi, who recently cut ties with DStv Premiership side TS Galaxy just six months after joining the team.
The three-time CAF Champions League winning coach had claimed that he was “dumbfounded” by the vile comments made by the Mpumalanga-based outfit’s coach Ramović about Vilakazi’s departure during his Nedbank Cup press conference last week.
During the press conference, Ramovic had stated he would rather play with players that put a lot of effort, a lot right attitude and great lifestyle, insinuating that the ex-Bafana Bafana international did not put his 100% at training.
SEAD RAMOVIĆ’S RESPONSE
Ramović, who responded to Mosimane’s claims in a statement sent to SABC Sport, he said: “Mr Mosimane, I don’t usually react when I see someone’s emotions controlling them. But this time I’ll make an exception for you. I hope you will like my tone this time.
“I would really like Vilakazi to continue his career. Maybe he could continue in your team because you could certainly use his quality.
“I’m sure your chair [at Al Ahli Saudi] would like to have success this year and not care too much about your great achievements six years ago. I wish you to continue your fantastic record as a coach.”
PITSO MOSIMANE HITS BACK AT RAMOVIĆ
Ramović’s response did not sit well with Mosimane who later hit back to the German tactician.
Mosimane noted that he was just trying to “protect” Sibusiso Vilakazi’s career, not necessarily to cause any harm.
“Kanti le Ngamula injane Nkosi Yami? loosely translated [“This guy, what is his problem?],” wrote Mosimane on his official Twitter account.
“Coach Ramovic, please sit down.
“I was just protecting Sbu Vilakazi’s career that is still left with few years to go.
“You have to make top 8 and match Dance Nedbank Cup record. Lets, focus and be responsible Pro Licenced coaches.”
