Sead Ramovic addresses unpaid salaries issue at TS Galaxy

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic has addressed the issue of the club allegedly failing to pay salaries to its players and other staff members.

The news emerged two weeks ago when a senior player told FARPost that he hadn’t been paid for two months.

It appeared that after they defeated Golden Arrows 4-0 in the DStv Premiership on payday, 29 January, the club only compensated the ones who featured in the match.

Ramovic has refuted these reports. He claimed that the club’s media officer Minenhle Mkhize was responsible for spreading this “nonsense” in the media.

Moreover, Mkhize was reportedly suspended by the club just after these reports were flying all over.

“What they wrote a lot about non-payments of [salaries], I can clearly say that this is nonsense,” he said. Ramovic was speaking to journalists at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

“Our players, do you really believe they put this kind of effort on the field if they were not paid? No!

“So, everything that was [written] because of the media guy who was at our club, he’s no [longer] here. Maybe he’s angry and put things into media that are not true just to make something up. I don’t know what it is.

“We don’t want to spend so much time on this nonsense because our chairman is a beautiful guy.”

Meanwhile, SAFPU Vice-President Tebogo Monyai recently confirmed that the complaints about TS Galaxy’s failure to pay salaries have reached their office.

THE MATTER HAS REACHED SAFPU

“I can assure you now that this matter has reached our office. This is not the first time. A lot of you do not know this, but about four or five months ago, TS Galaxy didn’t pay players for two months.

“We are really worried about the non-payment of players, especially in the professional ranks,” he said, as quoted by SABC Sport.
