Tim Sukazi identifies two factors for TS Galaxy good start

TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has identified two factors for his side’s good start and performance in the 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign.

After six league matches, TS Galaxy are sixth on the log with nine points. They have only conceded a single goal and suffered on defeat.

Last season, after the same number of matches the club was sitting rock bottom with only a single point with five defeats on their name.

The chairman pinpoints consistency and continuity as the driving force for good results.

The Mpumalanga outfit finished the previous season on a high, despite fighting in the relegation battle before surviving.

“It was a very good end, let’s start there. We ended last season on a high, let me illustrate. In the quarter four in the last seven rounds of matches we were two points less than Mamelodi Sundowns who won the quarter,” said Sukazi.

“In those matches we lost one, we collected 12 [points], Sundowns collected 14 so they won it, it was a good end. Now fast track to this season, it will inform you that it’s a continuation.”

Sukazi further dropped an interesting stat about his club that many people are not aware of.

“It started somewhere, it started in the beginning of the calendar year 2022 and it has been continuing. We’ve been consistent in this calendar year. We have collected the most number of clean sheets than any other club so it’s a continuation,” he added.

The Rockets will be aiming to continue with a great start to the season when they travel to Orlando Pirates on Saturday for their DStv Premiership encounter.

Both teams will be eyeing to get victories after suffering one nil defeats last time out to Cape Town City and Maritzburg United respectively.

Kickoff at Orlando Stadium is as 5.30pm.
