Former Chiefs midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase to get another lifeline?
Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase has resurfaced at Limpopo based Motsepe Foundation Championship side Black Leopards.
FARPost has reliably been informed that Ntshangase is being assessed by the Leopards technical staff.
The 29-year-old started training with Leopards in Malamulele on Tuesday morning.
And this publication has gathered that nothing has been agreed on between the club and the player.
However, both parties are open to a reunion.
SIPHELELE NTSHANGASE SET FOR LEOPARDS RETURN?
Ntshangase first made a name for himself at Black Leopards between 2013 and 2017, where he was also captain of the side.
His impressive performances attracted interest from various PSL clubs including Chiefs.
But in a surprise move, Siphelele Ntshangase opted for a move to Leopards neighbours Baroka.
He did not finish the season at Baroka before the much publicized move to Amakhosi in the 2017/18 season.
But Ntshangase failed to break into the team in the four seasons that he spent in Naturena under different coaches.
There were also reports that Ntshangase had off field issues that might have played an impact on the decline of his once promising career.
He also had a short and unsuccessful stint at Marumo Gallants.
JACKSON MABOKGWANE ARRIVES
Meanwhile, veteran goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane has also started training with his new teammates on Tuesday.
FARPost reported on Sunday, that Mabokgwane has joined Lidoda Duvha on a short term deal until the end of the season. This comes after he parted ways with Baroka recently.
Leopards are busy preparing for the resumption of the season under new coach Johnny Ferreira. Ferreira was appointed to work alongside Zimbabwean mentor Rodwell Dhlakama.
The club has also brought in experienced players such as Denis Chembezi, Douglas Mapfumo and Mabokgwane to bolster their playing personnel.
Their first match will be a home encounter against Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup qualifier at Malamulele Stadium on Saturday, 7 January.
