Agent gives latest update on in-demand Pule Mmodi
"The rumours of Orlando Pirates were incorrect too."
Pule Mmodi’s agent Solomon Seobe from SR Sports Management has provided the latest update on the Lamontville Golden Arrows star who’s been linked with various PSL clubs including two Soweto giants.
The recent rumours suggested that Abafana Bes’thende are keen to keep the attacking midfielder at the club. They were said to have offered him a new contract which he didn’t agree to.
However, Seobe has refuted the speculations, insisting his client has not entered into contract talks with the KZN outfit.
AGENT GIVES LATEST UPDATE ON PULE MMODI
“Pule has not gotten in any talks with Golden Arrows, he has also not told me anything about that,” Seobe told FARPost.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with Orlando Pirates in the past transfer window.
This was after Buccaneer’s Ntsako Makhubela was loaned to Arrows. While multiple reports claimed that Mmodi would go the opposite direction, the window closed without him switching.
Seobe says as Mmodi’s representative, he never received anything from the Soweto giants.
“Things will come when the season ends. The rumours of Orlando Pirates were incorrect too.
“There’s nothing as we speak, it was just AmaZulu back then but not now,” he added.
NATURENA WAS INITIALLY POISED AS MMODI’S DESTINATION
Before Pirates and AmaZulu came into the picture, Amakhosi were poised as the next destination for the Free State-born.
Prior to the start of the season, Mmodi admitted publicly that he would love to don the famous Gold and Black shirt.
However, just like Pirates, the player’s agent says he only caught those rumours from the air and never got an enquiry from the Glamour Boys.
The former Uthongathi man is currently within the last six months of his contract with Arrows and is allowed to sign a pre-contract with any club of his choice.
