Mike Makaab reveals Andile Jali’s possible destinations

Mike Makaab has revealed the possible destinations for his client, Andile Jali ahead of the upcoming DStv Premiership season.

Jali has been a free agent since parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns, who opted against renewing his contract.

The midfield maestro joined Sundowns during the 2018/19 season from Belgian outfit K.V Oostende. He went on to spend five seasons with the Tshwane giants before his well-documented exit in May 2023.

Despite helping Sundowns win a treble in the 2021/22 campaign, Jali did not enjoy much game time in the just-ended season under Rulani Mokwena. He only made 15 appearances in all competitions.

In addition, Jali walked away with DStv Premiership Midfielder of the Season, MTN8 Last Man Standing and Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament at the 2022 PSL awards.

Most recently, FARPost reported that the in-demand Jali is on the wishlist of several clubs in the Premiership including his former club Orlando Pirates.

The Matatiele-born star fueled the rumours about his future by posting on social media at the gym wearing a Sundowns kit.

With supporters in the dark about Jali’s next move, his agent Makaab has confirmed that the midfielder is not short of suitors.

MIKE MAKAAB COMMENT ON ANDILE JALI’S POSSIBLE MOVE

“You know when we speak of a specific player like Andile Jali, there’s lot of speculations,” Makaab said on Gagasi FM.

“Andile Jali and I were in touch today and he’s starting to do his own preparations before the pre-season. So that whoever signs him, finds him in the right frame of mind and the right physical condition.

“I’m hoping that next week, we’ll have a clear indication of where his next step is and don’t rule out a move to the Middle East or China,” added the agent.

It remains to be seen who will work around the clock to win the signature of the Bafana Bafana international.
