AmaZulu FC announce new signings and departures

AmaZulu FC have announced nine new signings and 14 departures as the club has been revamping their squad ahead of the new season.

The KZN outfit confirmed a few months ago that they had signed Celimpilo Ngema from Marumo Gallants. The midfielder signed as a free agent when his contract expired at the Bahlabana Ba Ntwa.

A few weeks ago, the club’s president Sandile Zungu also confirmed that they had acquired the services of Mlondi Mbanjwa and Mfanafuthi Mkhize from Uthongathi FC.

Besides the four aforementioned, AmaZulu have also confirmed they have signed Wayde Jooste, Rowan Human, Victorien Adebayor, Siyanda Hlangabeza, Victor Letsoalo and Andile Kwanele Mbanjwa.

On the other hand, it was expected that Usuthu would undertake a mass clearout after Zungu hinted at the end of the previous season.

USUTHU CONFIRM EXITS

The first exit was Lehlohonolo Majoro who left when his contract came to an end in June.

Dumisani Zuma and Keagan Buchanan followed the veteran striker after they signed for Moroka Swallows and Cape Town Spurs, respectively. The club also let go of Rally Bwalya who signed for Sekhukhune United while Letsoalo switched to the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, FARPost previously reported Samkelo Mgwazela had also left as he was on the radar of TS Galaxy. He was close to signing for the Rockets before the move fell through in the later stages.

Now, the Durban-based club has also confirmed the departures of Guily Manziba, Jean-Noel Amonome, Thendo Mukumela, Lankie Khoza, Thabo Qalinge, Sbongakonke Ndlovu, Kabelo Makola and Sphelele Zulu.

In addition, they also waved goodbye to Mamelodi Sundowns loanee Jody February who has registered to play for the Brazilians this season. AmaZulu will kick off their campaign with Royal AM on Saturday, 5 August at Harry Gwala Stadium.
