Ntseki gives injury update on Dolly, Chivaviro and Dove

Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki has given a fresh injury update ahead of the club’s DStv Premiership clash against AmaZulu FC on Saturday. Kick-off is 17h30 at the FNB Stadium.

Chiefs are coming from a disappointing 1-0 defeat to TS Galaxy on Sunday and are looking to bounce back.

They welcome an AmaZulu side that has yet to score nor concede in the opening three games of the season. Usuthu played goalless draws against Royal AM, Richards Bay and SuperSport United.

Speedy forward Ashley Du Preez, who missed the last encounter against Galaxy, is back after recovering from a bout of flu.

Ntseki knows how much a win would be a boost as his side looks to get their rebuild on track.

He has since given an update on the players that had been out nursing injuries.

NTSEKI GIVES INJURY UPDATE ON DOLLY, CHIVAVIRO AND DOVE

“We still have some long-term injuries, you saw Ranga [Chivaviro] leaving the field very early against TS Galaxy,” he told journalists on Thursday.

“So, I think he’s now going through rehab of some kind. In the next two weeks, he will be available for selection.

“The other player who started training is Keagan Dolly. He has been out for a very long time.”

He believes that Chiefs will have a full dressing room after the international break

“[Edmilson] Dove started [training] with the team this week. Hopefully, when we come back from the FIFA week, we’ll have a full squad, and all the players will be available.”

The FIFA week is slated for September 4-12, 2023, giving Amakhosi a two-week break after their MTN8 semi-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns next weekend.

Before the Downs match, Chiefs will visit Stellenbosch FC in Cape Town on Wednesday next week.

When they return from the break, they host Royal AM at the FNB Stadium.
