Pirates and Swallows missing key players ahead of Soweto Derby clash

Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows will be without some of their key players for the Soweto Derby clash in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday evening at Orlando Stadium.

Pirates have been inconsistent since the start of the 2023/24 campaign, failing to find a consistent winning formula in the league.

Despite winning the MTN8 final against Mamelodi Sundowns early in the season, the Buccaneers have struggled to replicate the same form in the league.

Pirates won four games in the league, drew another four and lost in three occasion in 11 games played thus far. They are currently lying ninth on the log with 16 points.

Meanwhile, Swallows have also had a slow start to the season as they sit sixth on the league table with 16 points. The Dube Birds won five games, drawing three while suffering three defeats.

With Pirates and Swallows facing off in the highly-anticipated league clash with Kick-off set for 19:30 in Soweto, the two sides will be missing their key players.
