Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates announce ‘exciting’ new partnership

PSL giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have announced an ‘exciting’ new partnership, injecting fresh impetus into their off-field endeavours.

The latest partnership announcement comes after a transition period for Amakhosi, most notably the recent change in playing personnel, coaches and kit sponsors.

In addition, Chiefs in October 2023, Chiefs ventured beyond the football pitch as the club entered into the world of culinary with the introduction of its first-ever snack range.

Before that, the club secured a three-year extension with Medshield to build on its strong sponsor portfolio, adding to partnerships with Vodacom, Toyota, SuperSport TV, and Kaelo.

On the other hand, Pirates’ current sponsors include Vodacom, Adidas, SuperSport, EA Sports, Aquelle, Oppo and Marion Bonvoy.

And even amidst on-field challenges, Chiefs continue to demonstrate their off-field prowess as the 2021 CAF Champions League finalists, along with the Buccaneers, welcomed SuperSportBet as their new sponsor on Thursday.

Chiefs, enduring a nine-year trophy drought, said they “have proudly entered into an exciting new partnership with SuperSportBet, a new player in the sports betting industry, to become the club’s official betting partner.

“This fantastic collaboration marks a significant milestone for both Amakhosi and SuperSportBet, as they join forces to offer fans an extra new dimension to their experience of sport and entertainment in South Africa and beyond our borders.”

Chiefs marketing and commercial director Jessica Motaung expressed her excitement for the new partnership with SuperSportBet.
