Former Baroka coach Sello Chokoe gets another coaching job

Ex-Baroka FC coach Sello Chokoe has secured himself another coaching job a few days after being jobless.

Chokoe is most famous for being in charge when Baroka beat Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals in 2011.

Baroka, who were competing in the SAFA ABC Motsepe League at the time, caused the upset of the tournament with a 2-1 win at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The victory paved the way for Chokoe to secure moves at various PSL clubs. This includes a stint at Black Leopards and at now-defunct Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila [TTM], both as a coach and a CEO.

But following a fallout with the management at TTM, Chokoe has held a few stints at various ABC Motsepe League clubs. His last assignment was at ambitious side Emmanuel FC. It’s currently second in stream A of the SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League and one of the teams vying for promotion.

SAFA LIMPOPO ABC MOTSEPE LEAGUE PROMOTION RACE HEATS UP

Meanwhile, the race for promotion spots is heating up in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League. Last season champions Mpheni Home Defenders currently lead Stream A. Emmanuel who are captained by former Black Leopards midfielder Wiseman Maluleke are second.

In stream B, Tzaneen United, coached by well-travelled Peace Khoza looks like they are running away with the stream. But ambitious side Ditlou FC coached by Mamelodi Sundowns legend Joel Maselela might spoil the party in second position.
