Marumo Gallants star attracts interest from DStv Prem teams

With only nine games remaining in the 2023/24 Motsepe Foundation Championship, a star player from Marumo Gallants has reportedly attracted interest from several DStv Premiership teams.

Bahlabane ba Ntwa currently sit 14th in the SA’s second tier with 20 points after 21 games. 

According to FARPost sources, a skilled attacking midfielder with Gallants is garnering significant attention from DStv Premiership clubs as the Motsepe Foundation Championship nears its conclusion.

The player in question is none other than Monde Maphambaniso, who has played 18 games for Gallants this campaign. 

To add to that, Maphambaniso has been instrumental for the Mpho Maleka-coached side, having found the back of the net on six occasions with several assists to his name this season.

This publication can reveal that the 31-year-old footballer has attracted interest from AmaZulu FC and Chippa United. 

The player comes highly-rated as he boasts both DStv Premiership and Motsepe Foundation Championship experience. He also turned out for Acornbush United, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila [TTM], and Polokwane City FC.

This website reached out to Maphambaniso’s agent Nimrod Mbhalati, who confirmed that there are PSL top-flight teams that are chasing after his player’s signature.

“There is interest in Monde, and it’s not surprising. Remember, he has six goals in all competition for his team this season,” Mbhalati told this publication. 

“Also, we are talking about an experienced player here. So, there are calls we getting and were expected.”

Gallants will return to action on Tuesday, 2 April 2024, after the FIFA break. Bahlabane ba Ntwa will take on Casric Stars at home in the Motsepe Foundation Championship tie. The game will start at 15:00.
