TS Galaxy midfielder linked with Soweto giants

A TS Galaxy midfielder has been linked with the Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

The Mpumalanga-based outfit currently sit ninth in the SA’s elite league with 28 points after 19 games.

According to FARPost sources, a talented midfielder with Galaxy has been linked with a move to the two DStv Premiership heavyweights as the season is slowly coming to an end.

The name of the player in question is none other than Thato Khiba, who joined Galaxy in July 2023 after he was released by Marumo Gallants on a mutual agreement following the club’s relegation from the DStv Premiership.

Khiba signed a three-year deal with an option to extend by a further two years with the Rockets.

Khiba has played 14 games across all competitions for Sead Ramovic’s side this campaign.

In those 14 matches he featured for the Rockets, Khiba managed to find the back of the net on two occasions and weighed in with one assist in the process.

Khiba also represented teams such as the Chiefs Reserve side, the now-defunct Uthongathi FC, and African All Stars.

KAIZER CHIEFS AND ORLANDO PIRATES INTERESTED IN THATO KHIBA

A source close to this publication revealed that the Buccaneers are interested in signing the 27-year-old footballer, but Amakhosi are “very keen” to bring back their academy product to the team.

“Kaizer Chiefs are willing to bring him back remember he comes from their development,” the source told this website.

“His form caught a lot of attention even though Orlando Pirates are interested but Chiefs seems very keen.”

However, there is still no indication of whether Galaxy wants to sell him, despite the gifted central midfielder being linked to the Glamour Boys and Sea Robbers.
