Having shown total dominance in the SAFAÂ KZN ABC Motsepe League, Mkhambathi FC have officially been crowned Stream A winners over the weekend.
This comes after the club secured a 2-0 win over Chess FC at home on Saturday, 1 March 2025. To put the cherry on top, Mkhambathi are yet to taste defeat in their stream. They have won all their 14 league matches.
Mkhambathi are cruising nicely in the Stream A table, scoring 42 points after 14 matches. They are 17 points ahead of second-placed Umsinga United.
As a result, Mkhambathi will face the winner from Stream A in the provincial playoffs. Midlands Wanderers and Njampela FC are equal on points [27 points] in Stream A from 14 outings. The winner of the provincial playoffs will represent KZN at the ABC Motsepe League national playoffs and stand a chance to gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
