Siwelele FC have continued reshaping their technical team ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season, with FARPost establishing that assistant coach Onismor Bhasera has left the club following the expiry of his contract.
The former Zimbabwe international is not part of the club’s pre-season preparations after being released at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Bhasera joined Siwelele after bringing the curtain down on an illustrious playing career with SuperSport United. He immediately transitioned into coaching, having already begun working towards his coaching badges during his final years as a player at Matsatsantsa. His departure comes as Siwelele revamp head coach Lehlohonolo Seema’s backroom staff.
As previously reported by FARPost, Musi Matlaba has joined the club as a temporary technical consultant, where he will assist with scouting and player recruitment. Mario Masha, who recently left Mamelodi Sundowns, has also been appointed as the club’s second assistant coach.
Masha, who previously worked under three-time CAF Champions League-winning coach Pitso Mosimane, joins first assistant Willem Jackson and goalkeeper coach Mswazi Tshabalala in Seema’s technical team.
Matlaba also brings extensive experience after serving under Mosimane at both Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly, specialising in opposition analysis, technical scouting and player recruitment.

The changes form part of Siwelele’s preparations for their second season in the Betway Premiership after finishing 10th in their maiden top-flight campaign following the acquisition of SuperSport United’s Premiership status.
SIWELELE FC OVERHAUL CONTINUES
The changes in the technical team coincide with a busy transfer window at the Bloemfontein-based club.
Siwelele have already completed the signings of Neo Mokhachane, Goitseone Phoko, Kwanda Lupalule, Felix Noge, Rehloholofaditswe Thulo, Hamza Issah and Sheldon Tebogo Mashuge.
Several senior players have also departed. Neo Rapoo, Gamphani Lungu and Bohlale Ngwato have joined Orlando Pirates, while Gape Moralo has signed for AmaZulu FC. Right-back Nyiko Mobbie is expected to complete a move to Sekhukhune United.
Veteran trio Buhle Mkhwanazi, Lyle Lakay and Pogiso Sanoka have also left the club.
Further changes are anticipated, with winger Kgaogelo Sekgota already having exited, while striker Maloisane Mokhele’s future remains uncertain as his contract expires on 30 June.
