Sekhukhune United have announced yet another major squad shake-up ahead of the new season, confirming the departure of five more players following the mutual termination of their contracts.

On Wednesday, 1 July 2026, the Limpopo-based outfit officially cut ties with Lesiba Nku, Lebogang Phiri, Ronaldo Maarman, Siphiwe Mahlangu, and Samkele Sihlali.

This marks the second wave of mass exits at Babina Noko, as the club looks to rebuild its squad following a demanding 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign.

The latest departures follow a massive clear-out initiated by the club last month. Sekhukhune previously parted ways with several high-profile veterans and squad players, including: Bradley Grobler, Thabang Monare, Sikhosonke Langa, Katlego Mohamme, Ryan Baartman, and Rivaldo Coetzee.

In addition, among the departing players, Maarman and Mahlangu return to the club only to secure their exits. The duo spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Durban City FC, where they enjoyed a historic stint, helping the KwaZulu-Natal side lift the 2026 Nedbank Cup title.

The squad overhaul comes on a bittersweet campaign for the Limpopo side. Sekhukhune missed out on continental football, finishing fifth on the Betway Premiership log standings with 44 points from 30 games—just short of a CAF Confederation Cup qualification spot.
