Former Kaizer Chiefs and Magesi FC winger Edmore Chirambadare has completed a move to Chicken Inn FC in Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, FARPost can confirm.
Chirambadare has returned to the Gamecocks more than a decade after helping them win their only Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title in 2015.
The left-footed winger, who was at Magesi FC last season, left following the expiry of his contract on 30 June. The club were yet to table a new offer after their relegation from the Betway Premiership.
And Chicken Inn FC have swiftly moved to secure a reunion with ‘Spanner’, who first broke through with them before earning a move to Kaizer Chiefs in July 2016 after shining in the CAF Champions League.
Chirambadare won the Most Improved Player award at Amakhosi in the 2016/17 season before leaving the Soweto giants in 2018. He also had stints at Maccabi FC, Pretoria Callies FC and Real Kings FC prior to joining Magesi in July 2024 from Venda FC.
In Magesi FC colours, Chirambadare scored crucial goals, including in their 1-1 draw against Milford FC in the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs — a result that ultimately sealed Magesi’s relegation.
He also played a key role in Magesi’s historic 2024 Carling Knockout Cup triumph. Chirambadare was heavily involved throughout their impressive cup run, notably delivering a crucial semi-final performance against Orlando Pirates where he found the back of the net.

FARPost can confirm that Chirambadare is set to be unveiled by the Bulawayo-based club on Monday after signing a one-year contract. He becomes the latest former PSL star to trace his steps back to Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Earlier this month, veteran goalkeeper Washington Arubi joined Caps United after 14 years in South Africa, where he played for clubs that include University of Pretoria, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Stellenbosch FC, SuperSport United, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila [TTM], and Marumo Gallants.
Former SuperSport United [now Siwelele FC] striker Prince Dube also joined Zimbabwean side Hardrock FC after seeing out his contract with Young Africans of Tanzania.
Ex-Ajax Cape Town defender Gerald Takwara also penned a deal with Hardrock this month, while Durban City FC loaned defender Emmanuel Jalai to Scottland FC. In addition, Daniel Msendami is also linked with a move to Scottland FC.
