FARPost has gathered the latest update regarding the details behind Siphesihle Tati’s imminent move to TS Galaxy from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Lerumo Lions FC.
The youngster signed for the North West side in August last year following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs‘ DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] side. The talented attacking midfielder cut ties with Amakhosi following the conclusion of a historic 2024/25 DDC campaign.
Tati was one of the important players when the Glamour Boys sealed a historic triumph in the DDC during the 2024/25 term, ending a 10-year trophy drought since the inception of the reserve league.
The 21-year-old started his football development journey at Chiefs with the Under-17 team at the age of 14 before he was promoted to the club’s reserve side.

According to an insider close to the developments, Lerumo gave the green light for the player to train with the Tim Sukazi-owned club.
While the ex-Chiefs starlet has done enough to impress in the Rockets’ camp, there is still some work to be done behind the scenes before a transfer can be officially sealed.
“The team allowed the boy to train with TS Galaxy so they could assess him,” a source told FARPost. “So far, he has impressed the technical team. However, nothing has been discussed between TS Galaxy and Lerumo Lions regarding the transfer of the boy.”
The source further explained that Tati had penned a contract extension with Lerumo prior to heading out to the Mpumalanga-based Betway Premiership side, meaning a direct club-to-club agreement will be required to trigger the move.
“Remember, the boy extended his contract at Lerumo before he was given the green light to train with Galaxy, and his buyout is a little bit high,” added the source.
“So, the two clubs are still going to sit down and discuss things. At the moment, nothing has been agreed upon, and no club-to-club agreement has been reached.”

The 2025/26 campaign was Lerumo’s debut season in professional football in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The club secured its second-tier status just before the season kicked off by acquiring the franchise rights of Pretoria Callies.
Under the ownership of Sibongile Marokana, the team finished the campaign in seventh place in the standings, with 42 points from their 30 league outings.
