Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United defender Malebogo Modise has found a new home in the Betway Premiership, penning a deal with Polokwane City FC ahead of the new season.
Modise’s move to Rise and Shine comes after his surprise departure from the Chilli Boys at the end of last season. The 25-year-old was a key figure for Chippa last term, featuring in 31 games across all competitions to help the club avoid the dreaded relegation axe. Chippa ultimately finished in 13th place, four points clear of the drop zone.
The highly-rated left-back has been a model of consistency in the top-flight, having established himself as a regular for Chippa over the years. He initially spent time with the Gqeberha-based side on loan from Sundowns before completing a permanent switch, racking up over 70 appearances for the club in total.
During his time on the books of Chloorkop, the former South African youth international also gained valuable experience through loan spells at Maritzburg United, JDR Stars, and All Stars FC.
