Motsepe Foundation Championship side AmaTuks have confirmed the exit of 21 players from their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Tuks confirmed the squad mass exodus on Wednesday, 22 July 2026. “All the best for the future,” reads the club’s brief statement to all the departing players.
The Tshwane-based outfit, seeking a return to South Africa’s top-flight, has opted for a major squad overhaul following the appointment of new head coach Michael Loftman. The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns technical team member, Loftman, replaced coach Kwanele Kopo, who has left the club.
Loftman joins Tuks after parting ways with the SAFA Western Cape ABC Motsepe League side, Hout Bay United.
Under the tutelage of the departed coach Kopo, AmaTuks finished 11th on the South African second-tier log standings last season.

Headlining the list of departures are experienced names across all departments, including seasoned forward Prince Nxumalo, veteran goalkeeper Veli Mothwa, and defender Riyaaz Ismail.
The other released players are: Lesego Sebetlela, Camagu Mdevulana, Tokollo Makgolane, Kamohelo Pheeane, Luke Daniels, Kamohelo Hoala, Teboogo Mohlamonyane, and Mcebisi Langa.
Abel Mabaso, Bantu Chingi, Thulani Zandamela, Tshepiso Mahlangu, Thando Buthelezi, Thabo Nkwana, Vusi Sibiya, Jordan Allies, Sibusiso Mthethwa, and Sifiso Mbidana to complete the list.
The club also confirmed that they have cut ties with assistant coach Machete Moloto and goalkeeper coach Thomas Nare.
Moloto has since joined the Betway Premiership side Polokwane City FC as their new coach, replacing Phuti Mohafe, who has since moved to Marumo Gallants.
“We thank the coaches for their commitment and service this past season and wish them all the best for the future,” reads the club’s statement.
AmaTuks will now turn their attention to bringing in reinforcement signings as they prepare their push for promotion to the South African elite league.
The side has struggled to return to the Betway Premiership since their relegation at the end of the 2015/16 season. Now, with Loftman at the helm, the club is hopeful for a turnaround.
