Motsepe Foundation Championship side Hope FC have acquired the services of former Orlando Pirates midfielder Miguel Timm.
Timm joins the Cape club on a free transfer after cutting ties with Cape Town City FC, whom he signed for on 5 January 2026 following his departure from Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United.
Hope FC confirmed the arrival of the experienced midfielder on Thursday, 23 July 2026.
Timm’s departure comes amidst a squad overhaul at Cape Town City ahead of the new campaign.
The Citizens have recently parted ways with several high-profile players, including Keagan Dolly, Njabulo Ngcobo, Dzenan Zajmovic, Sifiso Ngobeni, and Siphamandla Dondolo.
Additionally, CT City’s star attacker, Jaedin Rhodes, has recently sealed a move to Europe, signing with Austrian Bundesliga outfit SV Ried.

In an official statement, the newly promoted side expressed their delight in securing Timm’s signature.

Timm becomes the sixth new addition to Hope FC’s squad as they gear up for their maiden campaign in the professional ranks. The club has already reinforced its squad with the signings of Tauric Gamildien, Selwyn Stevens, Tyler Cicero, Nande Wetbooi, and Brandon Theron.
To complement the new arrivals, the club has also retained seasoned veterans Craig Martin and Ruzaigh Gamildien to ensure stability and leadership.
Hope FC earned automatic promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship after clinching the SAFA 2025/26 ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs.
