Betway Premiership side AmaZulu FC have announced the signing of former Orlando Pirates winger Neo Mokoena ahead of the new season.
Usuthu unveiled the 23-year-old two days before they open their 2026/27 season with a clash against Stellenbosch FC on Saturday.
Mokoena began his football journey in the Mamelodi Sundowns youth academy before gaining valuable experience in the DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] and the SAFA ABC Motsepe League.

“I’m grateful to join AmaZulu and thankful to the club for giving me this opportunity,” Mokoena was quoted by the AmaZulu FC website.
“The atmosphere at training has been amazing. The guys have welcomed me really well, and the intensity is on another level. It’s my first time competing at this level, so I’ll continue working hard and pushing myself every day.”

Mokoena also believes his attacking qualities will add value to the team as he settles into his new surroundings.
“I’m finding my feet with my new teammates bit by bit. My goal is to help the team in every way I can,” he added. “I’m a winger who enjoys taking on defenders. Dribbling is one of my biggest strengths, and I have a good pace. I enjoy expressing myself on the ball, and that gives me confidence.”
