Former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United forward Terrence Dzvukamanja has surfaced at FC Hunters in Zimbabwe after being let go by Scottland FC, FARPost has learnt.
The 32-year-old was one of the former PSL stars who headlined Scottland FC’s debut season under Tonderai Ndiraya.
Dzvukamanja joined the Harare-based side in July 2025 and helped them win the league title in their first season under Ndiraya. He featured in the bulk of the team’s matches in the second half of the season.
But with the arrival of former Chippa United coach Norman Mapeza ahead of the start of the 2026 season, Dzvukamanja’s fortunes changed. He was reduced to a benchwarmer, making cameo appearances with no goal to his name since the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season started in March.
Dzvukamanja was not the only player frozen out following the arrival of Norman Mapeza. Defenders Godknows Murwira, Gareth Madhake and Mafios Chihweta were loaned to FC Hunters.
Forwards Nathan Mutasa and Emmanuel Saidi were loaned to Dynamos FC and Highlanders FC respectively.
FRUSTRATED TERRENCE DZVUKAMANJA JOINS FC HUNTERS
Amid the frustration, Dzvukamanja was deemed excess baggage even though he travelled with the team for the 2026 Toyota Cup against Kaizer Chiefs.
He was initially set to rejoin his former club Ngezi Platinum Stars before FC Hunters made a last-ditch move to secure his services after Scottland de-registered him.
Dzvukamanja returned to Zimbabwe in July 2025 after seven seasons in the PSL. He played in the Betway Premiership from August 2018 until mid-2025 before heading home.
The forward had decent spells at Bidvest Wits, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United, making 196 appearances across all competitions in the SA elite league.
In his final stint at SuperSport United [now Siwelele FC], he made 58 appearances for the Tshwane side. His return to Zimbabwe has, however, been lacklustre, as he has not sparkled as he did during his initial spell at Ngezi Platinum Stars.
