Motsepe Foundation Championship side Magesi FC have confirmed the departure of left-backs Tshegofatso Nyama and Kayden Rademeyer, as well as midfielder Kgomotso Mosadi.
The trio’s exit comes two days after Dikwena Tsa Meetsi opened their 2026/27 Motsepe Foundation Championship with a 1-0 victory away at Midlands Wanderers. After being relegated from the Betway Premiership through the PSL Promotional/Regelation playoffs last season in June, Magesi are bidding for an immediate return to the top flight.

We wish you success and prosperity in your future endeavours,” Magesi announced the departure of the three players on Monday.
Former TS Galaxy star Nyama had arrived at Magesi from Cape Town City FC in February but is now a free agent. Mosadi leaves after just a season at the Limpopo outfit, having arrived from Sekhukhune United.
Of the three players, Rademeyer had been at Magesi the longest, after joining them in September 2024 from NB La Masia FC.
FRESH START FOR MAGESI FC IN MOTSEPE FOUNDATION CHAMPIONSHIP
Following relegation from the Betway Premiership, Magesi FC have kicked off a rebuilding exercise by parting ways with veteran coach Allan Freese. Kabelo Sibiya has stepped in as the new head coach, supported by a newly assembled backroom staff featuring video analyst Rene McCarthy, fitness coach Nkosinathi Shongwe, and goalkeeper coach Aubrey Vilakazi.
Sibiya’s tenure began with a sweep-out which saw several players leaving the club. Attacker Edmore Chirambadare returned to Zimbabwean side Chicken Inn FC after a decade in South Africa, while the likes of Reagan van der Ross, John Mokone, Lehlogonolo Mtshali and Mcedi Vandala also left.
Lanky striker Sifiso Luthuli is back at Orlando Pirates following the end of his loan stint at Magesi, while former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Thabang Sibanyoni was also released. Kgothatso Mariba, Motsie Matima, Tholang Masegela, Samuel Darpoh, Siyabonga Ndlozi and Kabelo Mahlasela were also part of the mass departures.
In an effort to beef up the team for this season, experienced defender Vusi Sibiya has been signed, along with former AmaZulu FC striker Elmo Kambindu and centre-forward Naeem Amoojee, formerly of Highbury FC.
