TS Galaxy coach Bernard Parker insists that, despite registering one win in the opening five matches, he has the club’s full backing to improve the results. Parker took over as head coach at the beginning of the 2026/27 season after serving on an interim basis following the departure of Adnan Beganovic.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana striker has guided Galaxy to one win, three draws, and one defeat. With six points, Galaxy are four points above the relegation zone.
The positive aspect of Parker’s tenure is that Galaxy have scored seven goals in just five matches. However, they have conceded the same number of goals, raising concerns about their defence.
ONE WIN IN FIVE MATCHES NOT A WORRY FOR BERNARD PARKER
Speaking after the goalless draw against Sekhukhune United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, the 40-year-old said he is in touch with club chairman Tim Sukazi daily on team matters.
“Yes, most definitely [we are aligned, with the management as well as the chairman [Tim Sukazi] we speak every day in terms of the day-to-day running and the day-to-day performance of the team,” Parker told Journalists.

Parker says there is a lot of behind-the-scenes brainstorming but admits players need to respond to his methods.
“We also brainstorm a lot; we also share ideas a lot. Of course, at the end of the day, we want the players to respond well.
“The players are responding well, and there is a lot of excitement and a lot of energy because of the young team that we have. That shows that with that, there will be growth and there will be winning games.”
Parker is also confident that his side is on the right track and doesn’t believe they had a slow start.
“No, I wouldn’t think it’s a slow start. Looking at all the teams and us, pound for pound, I think we did have a lot of positives,” he added.
