Football agent Pontsho Madumo has spoken out on the possibility of Elias Mokwana returning to the Premier Soccer League [PSL] after recently leaving Esperance de Tunis.
The Bafana Bafana international parted ways with the Tunisian club after both parties reached a mutual agreement to terminate the contract.
Mokwana signed with Esperance in 2024 from Sekhukhune United after establishing himself as one of the best wingers in South African football.
The 27-year-old attacker had an impressive first season with the North African side, featuring in 38 appearances across all competitions, netting seven goals and four assists.
However, Mokwana fell out of favour at Esperance, and the club sent him out on loan in the previous campaign to find regular game time.
The highly-rated winger spent the last season in the colours of Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hazm, where he scored one goal and provided three assists in 26 games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Mokwana’s recent dip in form saw him lose his place in the Bafana Bafana squad and miss the cut for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
Before the World Cup snub, Mokwana was in the Bafana squad that participated in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
With the former Platinum City Rovers star free to join a club of his choice on a free transfer, his agent Pontsho Madumo has ruled out the possibility of the player returning to South Africa in the Betway Premiership.
“We haven’t decided as yet on Mokwana’s next move,” Madumo told FARPost. “We are still sorting other personal things [in Tunisia]. As for coming back home, I doubt that would happen.”
