FARPost has established that Betway Premiership side Kruger United and assistant coach Joel Masutha have officially parted ways.
This publication reported a few days ago that Masutha and Kruger had been discussing a possible separation. The two parties are said to have finally concluded terms for the coach’s exit on Monday, 5 October.
Kruger United have recently resumed training following the FIFA International break with the former Chippa United and Black Leopards coach absent.
His exit comes amid ownership and management changes at the club. This is after Bongani Wati stepped down as chairman selling the rest of his shares to Kruger United president Basil Khoza.
KRUGER UNITED OFFICIALLY PART WAYS WITH JOEL MASUTHA

Masutha had joined Kruger United at the beginning of the 2026/27 season after his departure from Motsepe Foundation Championship side the Bees.
He worked alongside head coach Abram Mongoya, who was in charge when Kruger gained automatic promotion. His appointment was part of the club’s efforts to strengthen their technical department ahead of their maiden campaign in South Africa’s top flight.
However, Masutha is said to be the one who approached Kruger indicating that he needed to be relieved of his duties.
During his time at Kruger while working alongside Mongoya, the Betway Premiership newcomers managed one win in their opening seven matches. They also managed one draw with five defeats in the process. The club currently sit in position 13 with four points.
Before taking charge at Kruger United, Masutha enjoyed a successful spell at The Bees, where he rescued the club from relegation after replacing former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Humphrey Mlwane. However, he subsequently parted ways with the outfit after receiving an offer from Kruger.
