TS Galaxy are set to face Betway Premiership defending champions Orlando Pirates without their key defender Veluyeke Zulu in their league tie on Tuesday night.
The game between the Rockets and the Buccaneers is scheduled for a 19:30 kick-off at the Orlando Amstel Arena in Soweto.
The Tim Sukazi-owned side head into the encounter as the underdogs, seeking to turn the tables around, having lost their last two league matches.
Currently, the Mpumalanga club occupy position 12 with six points, just four points clear of the relegation-threatened Marumo Gallants. The Bernard Parker-led outfit has registered one win, three draws, and suffered three defeats.
WHY VELUYEKE ZULU WON’T FEATURE FOR TS GALAXY AGAINST ORLANDO PIRATES
TS Galaxy will be forced to take to the pitch without the experienced defender due to a two-match mandatory suspension hanging over Zulu.
The 31-year-old centre-back picked up a red card during the Betway Premiership Mpumalanga Derby against Kruger United. This game took place at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on 13 September 2026, a match that ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Rockets.
The Tuesday night’s encounter against the Buccaneers marks the final game of his suspension. He already served the first game of his suspension when TS Galaxy suffered a 1-0 loss to Chippa United prior to the recent FIFA international break.
In the current campaign, Zulu has been a regular fixture in the side. He has participated in six league matches and scored one goal in the process.
With Zulu sidelined, the TS Galaxy technical team will look to their defensive options to replace the former AmaZulu FC man, as they aim to get fruitful result against the wounded Pirates side that lost the MTN8 final against Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend.
