Mthokozisi Dube

I am a teller of football tales, passionate about unearthing footballers’ UNTOLD STORIES. Growing up, I always loved narrating beautiful stories, and because of my love for football, I gravitated towards sports writing. I’ve been practising as a journalist for 15 years and have previously worked for regional and international publications. Some of the publications I’ve done work for include BBC Africa [United Kingdom] where I covered sports codes like Football, Athletics and Squash; Daily Nation [Kenya], where my beat was politics and features; Mmegi [Botswana], where I covered Boxing, Squash, Rugby, Table Tennis and Football; Daily Monitor [Uganda] where my beat was Politics and Features, The Citizen [Tanzania], The Chronicle [Zimbabwe] where I focused on Basketball, Netball and Football and The New Age [South Africa]. At The New Age, I worked as a Crime Reporter and twice was named Best Reporter of the Year [2015 and 2016].
